Law firm websites that earn the first call.

For lawyers and small firms. Clear practice areas, the lawyers' real credentials, and a consultation request that reaches you, written with your law society's marketing rules in mind. We build the one-page website first; it is $500 only if you keep it.

What a law firm website has to do.

Most people looking for a lawyer search, read, and call the firm whose site made their problem feel handled. The site has to be clear, calm and accurate.

  • Name the practice areas plainly

Family law, real estate closings, wills and estates, employment: in the words clients use, each with a short note on what you handle and who you act for.

  • Show the lawyers

Names, photos, year of call and each lawyer's areas of practice. People are hiring a person, not a firm name.

  • Make the consultation request easy and safe

A short form for the type of matter and how to reach them, with a note not to send confidential details until you have confirmed you can act. It goes straight to your inbox.

  • Stay inside your law society's rules

In Ontario, the Law Society's Rules of Professional Conduct say marketing must be demonstrably true, accurate and verifiable, must identify that the lawyer is licensed as a lawyer, and cannot call a lawyer a specialist unless the Law Society has certified them. Other provinces have similar rules. We write with them in mind, and you approve every word.

  • Be careful with results and fees

Ontario's rules allow statements about past results only alongside a note that past results are not necessarily indicative of future results, and advertised fees have to say what they cover and whether disbursements and taxes are extra. If you publish fees, we lay them out that way.

  • Answer the first questions

How a first consultation works, whether it has a fee, how fees are structured and what to bring. Clear answers bring better-prepared calls.

What you send

Your firm name, practice areas, each lawyer's name, photo and year of call, your office details and how you handle first consultations. About ten minutes, by message or email.

What you get

A finished one-page website with every word written for you to review, sent as a live link. Usually ready to review within 3 business days of getting your details and content. Nothing goes live until you approve it.

Then you decide

Keep it and the one-page website is $500, then we connect your address and it goes live. Pass, and there is nothing to pay. No call, no chasing.

What it costs.

  • A one-page website is $500 CAD, one time. No deposit. You review it finished, then pay once you approve it, before it goes live.
  • A website of up to 8 pages is $2,500 CAD. You see a finished one-page demo first, then a 50% deposit starts the full build and the balance is due at launch. Bigger sites are quoted up front.
  • Care is $79 CAD a month, or $790 a year, for hosting, security updates and everyday edits. Optional.
  • You own it. Once it is paid, the site, its code and your domain are yours.

A solo practice with one or two areas often fits on one page. A firm with several practice areas or several lawyers usually wants a page for each, which is the website of up to 8 pages.

Questions

What should a law firm website include?

Your practice areas in plain words, the lawyers with their year of call, how a first consultation works, your office details, and a consultation request form with a note about confidential information.

Can you write the copy for us?

Yes. We write every word from what you send us, and you approve it before anything goes live. You know your obligations best, so nothing is published without your sign-off.

Can the site say we specialize in something?

In Ontario, only lawyers certified by the Law Society can advertise as specialists, and designations that suggest certification are off limits too. Unless you are certified, we describe what you do as practice areas.

Can we show client reviews?

Ontario's rules list testimonials or endorsements that contain emotional appeals among the kinds of marketing that may break the rules. If you want reviews on the site, keep to factual ones and check them against your society's rules; otherwise your Google profile can carry them.

Is the contact form safe for confidential information?

The form is for first contact only. We add a note asking people not to send confidential details until you have confirmed you can act for them.

How much does a law firm website cost?

With PageCove, a one-page website is $500 and a website of up to 8 pages is $2,500, which suits a firm with several practice areas that each need their own page. You see it finished before you pay.

Do you work with firms outside Ontario?

Yes. We work with businesses across Canada, mostly by message, email and phone. Tell us your province and we write with your law society's marketing rules in mind.
