Is one page enough?

For most small businesses, yes. Here is how to tell.

  • One page is enough when

You offer one main service or a short list of them, most customers find you by search or word of mouth, and what they need is to trust you and get in touch. That covers most trades, cafes, salons, clinics with a few services, and solo professionals.

  • You want more pages when

You offer several distinct services that people search for separately, you have more than one location, or you need room for a long menu, a large team or detailed policies. That is the website of up to 8 pages, at $2,500.

  • What one page cannot do

It cannot give each service its own page to be found for. If you sell five very different things, one page will describe all five but rank for fewer of them. We will tell you honestly which one fits.

From your details to a finished page.

What you send

Your business name, what you do, where you work, your hours, a few photos, and what customers usually ask. About ten minutes, by message or email. If you have a current site or a Google profile, we start from those.

What you get

A finished one-page website with the words written, the layout built and the phone version checked, sent as a live link you can click through. Usually ready to review within 3 business days of getting your details and content.

Then you decide

Keep it and the one-page website is $500, then we connect your address and it goes live. Pass, and there is nothing to pay. No call, no chasing.

What it costs.

  • A one-page website is $500 CAD, one time. No deposit. You review it finished, then pay once you approve it, before it goes live.
  • A website of up to 8 pages is $2,500 CAD. You see a finished one-page demo first, then a 50% deposit starts the full build and the balance is due at launch. Bigger sites are quoted up front.
  • Care is $79 CAD a month, or $790 a year, for hosting, security updates and everyday edits. Optional.
  • You own it. Once it is paid, the site, its code and your domain are yours.

Bigger builds, like an online store with checkout or a custom booking system, are quoted separately and up front. Linking to a booking or ordering tool you already use is part of the page.

Questions

What is a one-page website?

A single scrolling page with everything a customer needs: what you do, proof, your services, how it works and how to reach you. The menu jumps to each section instead of loading new pages.

Is a one-page website good for Google?

It can be, for a business with one main service. Google reads it like any other page: a clear title, real text about what you do and where, fast loading and a layout that works on phones. What it cannot do is give many different services their own pages; that is when a site of up to 8 pages helps.

How much does a small business website cost?

With PageCove, a one-page website is $500 and a website of up to 8 pages is $2,500, and you see the finished page before you pay. Our website cost guide compares that with builders and other Canadian studios.

How long does it take?

We reply within one business day. If the project is a fit, the finished page is usually ready to review within 3 business days of getting your details and content. After you approve it and pay, we connect your domain and it goes live.

What do I need to send?

Your business name, what you do, where you work, your hours, a few photos and what customers usually ask. A current website or Google Business Profile helps, but you do not need either.

Do I need a domain name already?

No. If you have one, we connect it. If not, we help you register one in your name.

Does my website have to be accessible?

In Ontario, businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA under the AODA. Smaller businesses are not required to, but the same basics help every visitor: readable text, strong contrast, clear link wording and a page that works with a keyboard. We build with those basics in mind.

What if I don't like it?

Then you don't pay. You look at the finished page first, and if it is not right for you, you say so and that is the end of it.
