Terms of service.
The agreement between you and Page Cove when we build your site. By working with us, you agree to these terms.

Who we are
Page Cove is a web design studio based in Ontario, Canada. These terms cover the websites we build and the care and SEO plans we offer. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we offer
We design and build websites, either a single complete page or a multi-page site. We also offer two optional monthly plans: a care plan for hosting and small content edits, and an SEO care plan.
Single page builds
A single page is a one-time price, currently $500. There is no deposit. We build the page and show it to you finished on a private preview, with nothing to pay. If you approve it, you pay, and the site goes live once your payment is in. If you decide not to go ahead, you owe nothing and the page is not published.
Multi-page builds
A multi-page website of up to 8 pages is $2,500. Bigger sites are quoted up front, so you see the full price before you commit. We build a finished one-page demo first so you can judge the quality. Once you approve the design, the full build begins on a deposit of 50% of the price, with the balance due at launch.
Timing, changes, and fixes
- Single page: ready to review within one business day of receiving your details, with up to 2 rounds of changes before launch. Once you approve and pay, it is live on your domain within 2 business days of us having access to it.
- Multi-page: the full site is ready to review within 3 business days of your deposit and content, with 2 rounds of changes. It goes live within 2 business days of your written sign-off, and the balance is invoiced only at launch.
- For 30 days after launch, we fix small things at no charge: wording, a photo swap, hours, a price, a link, or anything that does not work as built. New sections, pages, or features are quoted first.
- Timings count business days, Monday to Friday except Ontario statutory holidays, and pause while we wait on you for content, an answer, an approval, a payment, or domain access. If a date is at risk, we tell you before it passes, with the new date.
Payment, deposits, and refunds
- Quotes are valid for 30 days and are based on the page count and scope agreed up front.
- For a single page there is no deposit; you pay only if you approve the finished page.
- For a multi-page build, the deposit covers work already underway once the full build starts, so it is non-refundable from that point.
- We accept payment by card through Stripe and by Interac e-transfer.
- Page Cove is a small supplier and is not currently registered for HST, so our prices do not include HST. If we register in the future, HST will be added to our prices and shown on your invoice.
Ownership
Once your invoice is paid in full, the finished website and its code are yours, and your domain name is registered to you or transferred into your name. Until full payment is made, the live site, the code, and the domain remain ours, and we may keep the work on a private preview rather than publish it.
The care plan
The care plan is $79 per month, or $790 per year, and covers hosting, security updates, and everyday content edits such as text, prices, hours, and photos, up to 4 hours of edits a month. It does not cover new pages, redesigns, or custom features, which are quoted separately. Edits are done within 2 business days of your request; if we miss that, you do not pay for that month (on a yearly plan, we add a month at no charge), and we credit it without you having to ask. You can cancel at any time.
The SEO care plan
The SEO care plan is $150 per month. In the first 30 days we set up and check the basics of how your business is found: Google Search Console, Bing, your Google Business Profile and your listings. Every month after that, we write a new blog post for your site from something real you send us, such as a recent job, a customer's question or a photo; post to your Google Business Profile; prepare review requests for you to send to your customers; keep your business details the same on every listing; check how you show up on Google and in ChatGPT; and send you a one-page report. Nothing is published under your name until you approve it. If we have nothing from you by the middle of the month, we send you two short questions, and your answers become that month's post.
The plan is billed monthly through Stripe, starting on the day you sign up. The work runs in each month that is paid. If a payment does not go through, the work pauses until it does, and a late payment does not extend that month. We do the work and report on it honestly, but we cannot promise a ranking or a result, as set out under Our responsibility below. You can cancel at any time, and the plan runs to the end of the month you have paid for.
Hosting without the care plan
If you do not choose the care plan, or you cancel it, we keep your site online for 30 days after launch or after cancelling. We then move it to your own hosting account, set up in your name at no cost to you, and hand it over. We never simply take a launched site down.
What we need from you
To build your site well we need your real content: your photos, your business details, and timely answers to our questions. You are responsible for making sure the content and images you give us are accurate and that you have the right to use them. Our timings pause while we are waiting on your content or feedback.
If a project stalls
If a project goes quiet on your side for an extended period, we may pause it and pick it back up when you are ready. For multi-page builds, any deposit already paid covers the work done up to that point.
Our responsibility
We take real care with every site, but we provide our work as is and cannot guarantee specific business results, search rankings, or uninterrupted uptime. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost business.
Third-party services
Your site and our service rely on third parties such as Stripe for payments, Web3Forms for contact form delivery, and our hosting provider. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for outages or issues on their end.
Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.
