- Built from your own content, logo and photos
- One round of changes before launch
- 12 months of care: hosting and everyday edits

Enter in three steps.
Do all three before Saturday, October 31 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Each business gets one entry, plus any referral bonus entries.
Comment on the pinned post
Comment on the pinned giveaway post, on Instagram or Facebook. "Entered" and your business name is all it takes. The post sits at the top of both profiles.
No social media? Email [email protected] with the subject "October giveaway entry", plus your name, your business name, and its city and province. Same one entry, same chance.
We reply to every entry to confirm it. You never have to share, repost or tag anyone to enter.
Refer a business. You both get an extra entry.
Tell a business owner you know. When they enter and name your business in their message or email, both businesses get one bonus entry.
- A business can earn up to 5 bonus entries, so it holds at most 6 entries in total.
- The business you refer must be entering for the first time, with a different owner from yours.
- Only tell people you actually know. No bulk messages, and no asking strangers in groups or comment threads to name you.
- We confirm every bonus entry by message or email.
Every business that enters can get its one-page website built first.
Want one? Say "preview" when you message us, or say yes when we confirm your entry. We build your one-page website from your public Google and Facebook information, plus anything you send us, and send you a private preview link. We aim for about 24 hours. If many requests come in at once, it can take a few business days.
- The first three businesses that keep theirs pay nothing, in exchange for a short, honest video review, a follow on every PageCove social account, and an introduction to one business owner they know.
- After that, it is $500 for the one-page website if you keep it.
- Don't want it? You pay nothing. The preview is sent only to you and is not published unless you keep it.
This is a separate offer, not part of the giveaway. Asking for a preview, keeping it or saying no has no effect on your entry or your chances.

PageCove October 2026 Website Giveaway: Official Rules
Last updated September 30, 2026.
No purchase necessary. Buying anything from PageCove does not improve your chances of winning.
In short: one business in Canada (outside Quebec) wins a multi-page website plus 12 months of website care, with an approximate retail value of $2,290 CAD. To enter, follow PageCove on Instagram and Facebook, comment on the pinned giveaway post, and message us your business name and city (or enter by email, no social media needed). Entries close Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The draw is live on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and the person drawn must correctly answer a skill-testing question. The full rules below are what count.
1. Who runs the giveaway
The giveaway is run by Page Cove Inc., operating as PageCove, a one-person web studio in Ottawa, Ontario ("PageCove", "we", "us", "our"). Contact: [email protected].
These rules are posted at pagecove.com/giveaway and linked from the pinned giveaway post on PageCove's Instagram (@pagecoveweb) and Facebook (PageCove) accounts.
2. Instagram, Facebook and Meta are not involved
This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook or Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Meta"). By entering, you fully release Instagram, Facebook and Meta from any liability connected with this giveaway. You are giving your information to PageCove, not to Instagram, Facebook or Meta. Please send any question about the giveaway to us.
3. Who can enter
The giveaway is for businesses. Each entry is made by one person on behalf of one business.
The business must:
- be a business (a sole proprietor, partnership or corporation) that is operating at the time it enters;
- have its place of business in Canada, outside Quebec (for a business without a storefront, the place it is run from);
- not have as its main activity the sale of cannabis, tobacco or vaping products, gambling, or adult entertainment, and not be carrying on anything unlawful.
The person entering must:
- live in Canada, outside Quebec;
- have reached the age of majority where they live: 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan; 19 in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon;
- own the business or be authorised to act for it, including to accept the prize and to have a website built for it.
Not eligible: employees, contractors, officers and directors of Page Cove Inc.; their immediate family (parents, children, brothers and sisters, and spouses or partners) and anyone living in the same household as any of them; and any business owned or managed by any of these people.
The giveaway is not open to businesses located in Quebec or to people who live in Quebec.
4. When you can enter
The entry period opens when the pinned giveaway post is first published on PageCove's Instagram or Facebook account in early October 2026 (the earlier of the two posts' time stamps is the opening time). It closes on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time ("ET").
Your comment and your entry message, or your entry email, must arrive within the entry period. Our records of when comments, messages and emails arrived decide whether an entry was on time.
5. How to enter
No purchase necessary. There are two ways to enter. Each gives your business the same one entry and the same chance.
Way 1: on Instagram and Facebook (do all three)
- Follow PageCove on Instagram (@pagecoveweb) and on Facebook (the PageCove Page). If you already follow both, this step is done.
- Comment on the pinned giveaway post, on Instagram or on Facebook. "Entered" and your business name is all it takes, for example "Entered, [your business name]". One comment is enough.
- Send us a message on Instagram or Facebook Messenger with your business name and city. If another business referred you, include its business name (see section 7).
Way 2: by email, no social media needed
Email [email protected] with the subject "October giveaway entry". Include your name, your business name, its city and province, and, if another business referred you, its business name.
We reply to every entry to confirm it. If you have not heard from us within 2 business days, message or email us.
You never have to share, repost or tag anyone to enter, and doing so does not earn entries.
6. Limits
- One base entry per business, and one business per person, no matter how many accounts, comments, messages or emails are used.
- A business can hold at most 6 entries in total: its 1 base entry plus up to 5 bonus entries (section 7).
- If you entered the first way, you must still follow PageCove on Instagram and Facebook when your business is drawn. We check this before confirming a winner.
- Entries made with fake or borrowed accounts, bots, automated tools or false information are void, and we may disqualify the business.
7. Referral bonus entries
Tell a business owner you know about the giveaway. When they enter and name your business in their entry message or email, both businesses get one bonus entry.
- Both businesses must have complete, eligible entries by the close of the entry period.
- The business you refer must be entering for the first time when it names you, and must have a different owner from yours.
- A business can name one referrer. If it names more than one, the first one named counts.
- A business can earn at most 5 bonus entries in total. The bonus entry it gets for being referred counts toward the 5. More referrals are welcome after that, but they do not add entries.
- Only tell people you actually know. Do not send bulk or unsolicited messages, and do not post in groups or comment threads asking strangers to name you.
- Self-referrals, referrals between businesses with the same owner, and made-up businesses do not count, and may void the entries involved.
We confirm each bonus entry by message or email.
8. The prize
There is one prize: a multi-page website for the winning business plus 12 months of PageCove website care. Approximate retail value: $2,290 CAD.
The website:
- up to 5 pages (for example home, services or menu, about, gallery, and contact), designed and built by PageCove;
- works on phones and computers, uses the business's own branding, and includes basic search setup (page titles, page descriptions and a sitemap);
- a contact form that sends enquiries to the business's email, and links to the business's existing booking or ordering tool and social media accounts, if it has them;
- built from the business's own content: its text, services, prices, logo and photos. We write and arrange the words from the facts the business gives us;
- one round of changes before launch, and bug fixes for 2 weeks after launch;
- built in English;
- once launched, the website and the business's content belong to the business.
Twelve months of care, starting on the day the website launches:
- hosting on PageCove's hosting;
- everyday edits such as prices, hours, photos and text, usually done within a couple of business days;
- after 12 months, care ends with no charge and no automatic renewal. The business can then keep care at PageCove's regular price at that time, or take the site files and host the website elsewhere.
Not included:
- domain registration and renewal (the domain is registered in the business's name and paid to the registrar, usually about $15 to $25 a year; if the business already has a domain, we connect it);
- email accounts, and any third-party subscription or fee (for example booking tools, online store platforms, payment processing, or paid plugins and fonts);
- an online store or checkout, a custom booking or ordering system, member logins, or other custom features;
- logo or brand design, photography, and translation;
- ads, search engine campaigns and social media management;
- more than 5 pages.
The winner can add any of these at PageCove's regular prices, but never has to.
How we arrived at the value: $1,500 for the website (PageCove's starting price for a multi-page website) plus $790 for the 12 months of care (PageCove's price for a year of care; it is $948 if paid at $79 a month). PageCove is not registered for HST, so no HST is included.
Prize conditions:
- The prize is for the business named in the winning entry. It cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash or anything else.
- The winner and PageCove sign a short website agreement that sets out the build, the care and the ownership. The winner pays nothing under it for the prize.
- The winner sends the business's content within 60 days after being confirmed as the winner. The build takes about 2 to 3 weeks once we have the content. If we have not received the content within those 60 days, and we have reminded the winner at least twice, the prize is forfeited and no other winner is drawn.
- We will not publish content that is unlawful, that uses material the business has no right to use, or that is misleading. The business is responsible for its own content and the claims it makes, and for having the right to use what it sends us.
- If we cannot provide the prize as described for reasons outside our control, we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
- The winner is responsible for any taxes that apply to the prize.
9. Chances of winning
There is one prize. The chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received by the close, including bonus entries. A business with more entries has a better chance. For example, a business holding 3 entries out of 200 eligible entries would have a 3 in 200 chance. (That total is only an example; the real total is known only at the close.)
10. The draw
The draw takes place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. ET, live on PageCove's Instagram and Facebook, from Ottawa, Ontario. If the live stream fails, the draw still takes place at that time on a recording that we post afterwards.
- Before the draw, we check every entry and lock the list of eligible entries. Each entry is one ticket, so a business with 3 entries has 3 tickets. Before going live, we post the digital fingerprints (SHA-256 codes) of the locked list, its ticket list and our draw program on the pinned giveaway post, so it can be shown that none of them changed.
- On the live, the number that drives the draw is made in front of viewers, in two parts. First, the first number of 6 or more digits that a viewer comments on the Instagram live after we ask (if nobody does within 2 minutes, this part is 000000). Then 8 rolls of a die on camera, added on the end. Because the die is rolled after the comment, nobody can choose the number. Our draw program uses that number to pick one ticket at random, and every ticket has the same chance. The program then picks a first and a second alternate the same way, after removing all tickets of any business already picked. The method is written down and we keep the draw record, so the draw can be re-run and checked.
- On the live we show only the entry and ticket counts, the fingerprints, the number, and the selected entrant's business name and city. Entrants' contact details are never shown.
- The business picked first is the selected entrant. We may say its name and city on the live, but it is not the winner until it is confirmed under section 11. Alternates are kept private unless they are needed.
11. Confirming the winner
- We contact the selected entrant within 24 hours after the draw, by message on the account they entered with, or by email for email entries.
- Within 7 days after we send that message, the selected entrant must:
- reply to us;
- correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, on their own, without a calculator or any help, within 2 minutes, on a short video call with us; and
- sign and return our Declaration and Release, which confirms they meet these rules and are authorised to accept the prize for the business, accepts the prize as described, releases PageCove and Meta as set out in these rules, and agrees to the publicity in section 12.
- If the selected entrant cannot be reached, does not complete these steps in time, is not eligible, answers the question incorrectly, or declines the prize, they are disqualified. The first alternate then becomes the selected entrant and has 5 days after we contact them to complete the same steps, then the second alternate, the same way.
- If both alternates are also disqualified, we hold another live draw the same way from the remaining eligible entries, announced on the pinned giveaway post at least 24 hours ahead, until a winner is confirmed.
- Once the winner is confirmed, we announce the winning business on Instagram and Facebook.
12. Publicity
By entering, you agree that if your business is drawn, PageCove may say its name and city during the live draw, and that if your business wins, PageCove may announce and post the business's name and city and the entrant's first name, and show the finished website as an example of our work, without payment. We will ask before using any photo, video or quote from you. A testimonial is never a condition of the prize.
Your comment on the pinned giveaway post is public, like any comment.
13. Privacy
What we collect: your name; your Instagram or Facebook username; your business name, city and province; the messages and emails you send us; the name of any business that referred you; and your email address or phone number if you give them to us. Your comment on the pinned giveaway post is public. Depending on the platform and your privacy settings, other people may be able to see that you follow us.
What we use it for: to confirm eligibility; count entries and bonus entries; run the draw; contact, confirm and announce the winner; deliver the prize; and, only if you ask for one, build and send your one-page website preview (section 16).
Marketing: entering does not sign you up for marketing messages. We only message you about the giveaway and about anything you ask us for. If we would like to send you anything else, we will ask you first, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
Sharing: we do not sell your information. Your comments and messages to us are held on Instagram and Facebook under Meta's own terms. Our own records are kept with service providers (such as our email and file storage) that may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country.
Keeping it: we delete entry records within 12 months after the giveaway ends. We keep the winner's Declaration and Release and the prize records for as long as we need them for our business and legal records.
Your choices: you can withdraw your entry before the draw, and ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, by emailing [email protected]. Our full privacy policy is at pagecove.com/privacy. If you have a privacy concern we cannot resolve, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
14. General conditions
- By entering, you agree to these rules and to our decisions on any matter these rules cover.
- We may disqualify any entry, and hide or remove any comment, that breaks these rules, is spam or is abusive.
- We are not responsible for entries we do not receive because of problems with Instagram, Facebook, email or internet service. We check message requests every day, but if we have not confirmed your entry within 2 business days, please contact us.
- If something outside our control, such as a platform outage, a technical failure or fraud, stops the giveaway from running fairly as planned, we may change or end it, with notice on the pinned giveaway post and on this page. If we end it early, we draw the winner from the eligible entries received up to that point.
- To the extent the law allows, by entering you release Page Cove Inc., its owner and its contractors from liability for any loss or harm connected with entering the giveaway or with the prize.
- If anything in a post, ad or message about the giveaway differs from these rules, these rules apply.
- These rules are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The giveaway is void in Quebec and wherever else it is prohibited.
15. Contact
Email [email protected], or message @pagecoveweb on Instagram or PageCove on Facebook.
16. Separate from the giveaway: your one-page website preview
This is a separate offer. It is not part of the giveaway and it is not a prize. Asking for a preview, keeping it, or saying no to it has no effect on your entry or your chances.
- Everyone who enters can ask for a one-page website for their business, built from its public Google and Facebook information (such as hours, services, photos and reviews) plus anything you send us. We build your one-page website before you pay a dollar. To ask for one, say "preview" in your entry message or email, or say yes when we confirm your entry.
- If you keep it, you confirm your business has the right to use every photo and review on it, and we replace anything it does not.
- We aim to send your preview link within about 24 hours of your yes. If many requests come in at once, it can take a few business days.
- The preview is sent only to you and is not published unless you keep it. The link stays up for 10 days.
- If you do not want it, you pay nothing.
- The first three businesses that tell us in writing that they are keeping their site, and agree to the three things below, pay nothing for their one-page website. The three things: (1) record a short, honest video review of their experience, in their own words, that PageCove can post (it does not have to be positive, and wherever we post it, the video and its caption say they received their site at no charge in exchange for the review); (2) follow every PageCove social media account linked at pagecove.com; and (3) introduce us to one business owner they know, who then messages us (that business does not have to buy anything). We agree a date for these in writing. A business that keeps its site but would rather not do these three things, or does not do them by that date, pays $500 for the one-page website, and the spot passes to the next business.
- After those three, it is $500 for the one-page website if you keep it. The domain is registered in your business's name and paid to the registrar. Hosting and everyday edits are available on PageCove care at $79 a month or $790 a year, or you take the files and host the site yourself.
